PHP Symfony Developer
Budget: £36 – £0 GBP
Fixture Calendar is a fast growing sport website looking for a new part-time IT developer. The developer would have a high level of autonomy and a large amount of flexibility in how they work.
1. The new developer would have experience in the details below relating to the website:
Fixture Calendar is a website written in PHP using the Symfony framework. Business logic is implemented in PHP and running as both symfony console commands and as a part of a browser request. Front end is implemented in bootstrap, jquery, and bundled using webpack.
Example tasks:
- Changes to the data model (SQL mapped by PHP classes with annotations)
- Changes to the business logic (PHP scripts)
- Changes to page routing (symfony controllers, extremely careful about SEO impact, sitemap considerations)
- Changes to the Twig templates
- Changes to front end (javascript + jquery + scss + bootstrap)
- Changes to the Admin interface (sonata admin)
- Fixes to customer-facing user interface (handling special cases of a library, css or js not playing well)
- Troubleshooting a symfony console command
- Other uncategorised software engineering tasks
2. The freelancer ideally would start as soon as possible.
3. Part-time. 10 to 20 hours per week but could increase in future if both sides are interested
4. The office is in central London and visits are very welcome but the role can be performed completely remotely.
5. Fluent English speaker
