Key Responsibilities:
Migrate the existing OpenCart e-commerce website to our designated server.
Replicate the migrated site to serve as a developmental environment.
Convert this duplicate into a headless backend, utilizing its built-in REST-API to serve data to the frontend.
Ensure compatibility and smooth data flow between the backend and the NextJS/React frontend.
Collaborate with our internal team to address the site's unique features, particularly its custom middleware that governs tier-based pricing.
Requirements:
Proven experience with PHP, with a particular emphasis on OpenCart.
Familiarity with creating and managing headless backends.
Experience in working with REST-APIs.
Knowledge of NextJS/React is a plus, though not mandatory.
Ability to understand and work with custom middleware setups. In our case, the middleware manages pricing tiers for customers and modifies displayed prices dynamically. This middleware is connected to an external admin panel which will stay operational.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
