Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

Job Description for Freelancer.com: Admin Panel Development for Travelscan (PHP Laravel)

We are looking for an experienced PHP Laravel Developer to build an MVP Admin Panel for our platform, Travelscan, focused on managing functionalities for union members. The project involves creating a robust backend and integrating it with a pre-built user interface for login and dashboard functionality.

### Key Responsibilities:

1. Dashboard for Union Members:
- Implement features for managing "Exclusive for Union" accommodations (viewing, adding, or excluding units) using the existing dashboard UI.
- Develop back-end APIs to list and toggle accommodations as "Exclusive for Union."

2. Discount Management:
- Create functionality to configure automatic discounts for union members (global or category-specific).
- Ensure real-time price calculations based on configured discounts are accurately displayed.

3. Vacation Fund Management:
- Use the existing dashboard UI to display union members’ vacation fund balances and expiration notifications.
- Create APIs to fetch fund balances and generate automated notifications.

4. Reporting Tools:
- Extend the existing UI to include reporting on bookings and fund usage.
- Develop back-end APIs to generate and retrieve reports.

5. Member and Accommodation Management:
- Add features for admins to register new members, set initial fund balances, and mark accommodations as "Exclusive for Union."

6. Payment Processing:
- Integrate payment methods for vacation funds (e.g., Edenred, Sodexo, UP, and standard banking cards) into an escrow-like system.
- Develop secure APIs to handle deposits and updates to user funds.

7. Reservation Cancellation:
- Create cancellation workflows for vacation card payments (e.g., issuing vouchers) and bank card payments (e.g., direct refunds).

### Technical Requirements:

- Development must use PHP Laravel Framework for all back-end functionality.
- Utilize the Travelscan GitHub repository for version control:
[GitHub Repository Link](https://github.com/travelscanbooking/travelscan-app).
- Adhere to best practices for API and back-end service design:
- Minimize complexity in controllers.
- Use service layers for business logic.
- Ensure transactional consistency for database operations (insert/update/delete).
- Log response times for external API calls.
- Store sensitive data (credentials, tokens, etc.) securely in `.env` files.
- Write unit tests with a minimum of 80% code coverage for service classes.
- Normalize database tables and maintain updated migration files.
- Integrate seamlessly with the pre-built login and dashboard UI.

### Tools & Platforms:

- Front-End Frameworks: Familiarity with Laravel Blade templates or other front-end technologies (React, Vue.js) is a plus for understanding the existing UI.
- Payment Gateway Integrations: Experience with platforms like Edenred, Stripe, or similar is highly desirable.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git/GitHub for code reviews and branching workflows.

### What We Expect:

- Deliver clean, maintainable, and optimized code.
- Communicate promptly to clarify technical questions or resolve issues.
- Follow a collaborative workflow for code reviews and approvals.
- Provide an MVP that is production-ready and seamlessly integrated with the existing UI.

If you have extensive experience with PHP Laravel, payment gateway integrations, and admin panel development, we’d love to hear from you! Please include examples of past projects (preferably in Laravel) in your proposal.

Looking forward to working together!
