PHP/JSON: base64 data from array, resize and save

I have a json file.
In that json you find: photos":[{"id":"60825"},{"id":"60827"}...]
Each id value inserted in a url gives me the base64 image data.
- I have to get all images, resize it before, or after saving to a folder. Using the Id for the image name.
I have written my own code. Works, but my server always stops it (too long, too heavy?). Hope someone can help for a reasonable price. php code preferred, so I can learn.
