We are a UK-based company with a remote/satellite team based in Kolkata, West Bengal for 9+ years. We are currently hiring both local and remote (home working) full-time developers.
Our Area of focus is business application development including CRM, ERP, Workflow Solutions, Marketing Automation, Reporting, etc.
We are ideally looking for developers who have experience in packaged open source applications (some well-known examples include SuiteCRM, Vtiger CRM, Sugar CRM, Dolibarr CRM/ERP, etc)......we are NOT looking for framework developers. Developers should also be able to handle application integration work.

- Use Git/Bitbucket
- WinSCP
- Command Line
- Take responsibility for delivering entire projects (some small/simple, others large/complex) correctly, bug/error-free and on schedule.
We are due to enter a phase of growth over the next few years so we are looking to hire bright individuals who can grow with us. We currently have a team of 6 developers in Kolkata and looking to scale up to 10 developers within the next few months.

Key Responsibilities
As Swami Vivekananda said "Awake arise and stop not till the Goal is reached", we need someone who can take the ball (Project) and then score a Goal (by seeking support from the team members).
Prepare Technical design document after understanding Functional Requirements
Creation of Project Backlog or detailed work breakdown along with the timelines
Risk Identification and mitigation plan
Explore the possibility of using off-the-shelf or readymade software applications to complete projects in a shorter timeframe.
Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
Write effective APIs.
Quickly learn & configure off-the-shelf or readymade software applications.
Integrate with external systems & SaaS applications using the API.
Reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality.
Manage and Maintain current Business Applications.
Creating and maintaining systems documentation
Ability to perform and deliver results under pressure.
Skills required:
4+ years of PHP development experience.
Database (RDBMS) experience is the key as all the applications being developed are having an underlying DB.
Must be able to use Git/WinSCP, SSH, and command line.
Most of the PHP developers have experience in building Websites/WordPress etc. but we are looking for individuals with experience in doing Business Applications. (like any back-office application, CRM, ERP, or Workflow Solution).
English Communication Skills will help you in growing faster as you may communicate with customers (UK & US) directly.
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
Create security and data protection settings.
Write technical documentation.
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
