PHP Bug Fix and Joomla Upgrade

I'm facing a critical issue with my Joomla 3.10 site. The default.php file at /ROOT/layouts/joomla/searchtools/default/list.php is experiencing a bug/error which results in the backend being almost fully unavailable. My requirement is a bug fix for this specific PHP file, and a subsequent upgrade from Joomla 3.10 to Joomla 4.4.
