This is a long-term, full-time position (5 days a week) for a skilled professional who can maintain and improve existing systems while contributing to the development of scalable, efficient backend solutions. Proficiency in front-end frameworks is a plus, but the primary focus will be backend development.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Backend Development:**
- Maintain and improve existing backend systems built in PHP frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter.
- Develop scalable and robust backend solutions that align with best practices (SOLID principles).
- Work on API development and RESTful services to enhance integrations and functionality.
**Database Management:**
- Manage and optimize MySQL databases for performance and reliability.
- Design and maintain database structures to support business requirements.
**Front-end Collaboration (Preferred):**
- Collaborate with the front-end team to ensure seamless integration.
- Use front-end frameworks like ReactJS (preferred) or others for occasional full-stack tasks.
**Version Control and Collaboration:**
- Utilize Git and GitHub for efficient version control and collaboration.
- Ensure proper documentation and code reviews to maintain code quality.
**Continuous Improvement:**
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in existing systems.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to implement new technologies and approaches.
**Requirements:**
- Extensive experience in PHP development, specifically with Laravel and CodeIgniter.
- Proficiency in backend concepts and principles, with a focus on building scalable systems.
- Solid understanding of jQuery and its applications.
