ONLY EU - Custom WordPress / WooCommerce Theme (Responsive, Fast & Modern)

I'm looking for - ONLY EU - an experienced WordPress/WooCommerce developer to design and build a completely custom theme for my website.

The website is already running on WordPress with WooCommerce, so this is not a new website, but a complete redesign with a focus on modern design, excellent mobile usability, speed, and conversions.

I have already worked with another freelancer who delivered only a Photoshop mockup without a working mobile version. I am not looking for static designs or concepts.

I need a developer who can build and demonstrate a fully working responsive theme before anything is installed on my live website.

This is probably the most important requirement.

Over 70% of my visitors use mobile devices, therefore the design must be created with a mobile-first approach.

The website must look excellent on:

Mobile phones
Tablets
Desktop

I expect screenshots or demonstrations of the mobile version during development.

Fast Performance

Speed is extremely important.

The finished theme should:

Load very fast
Have clean and optimized code
Achieve excellent PageSpeed scores
Avoid unnecessary plugins or bloated page builders
Be optimized for Core Web Vitals
Development Process

No work may be performed on the live website.

The freelancer must:

Develop the theme on their own development server or local installation.
Present a fully working version.
Make revisions based on my feedback.
Only after my final approval should the theme be installed on the live website.
Design Style

I do not want a typical boxed WordPress theme.

Many commercial themes place everything inside rectangular sections and boxes. I want something that feels much more premium, modern and visually engaging.

The design should use:

Smooth transitions
Curved or flowing sections where appropriate
Creative layouts
Plenty of white space
High-quality typography
Modern animations (subtle, not excessive)

I've attached a screenshot of a previous proposal. While it looks acceptable on desktop, it clearly wasn't designed for mobile and feels like a static Photoshop concept rather than a real responsive website.

WooCommerce

The new theme must work perfectly with WooCommerce including:

Product pages
Cart
Checkout
Customer account
Popular payment gateways
Existing Content

The website already contains all products and content.

The goal is not to recreate the website from scratch, but to create a beautiful new theme that works with the existing content.

Applications without previous work examples will unfortunately not be considered.

Please do not submit generic AI-generated proposals. I carefully review every portfolio, and preference will be given to freelancers who clearly demonstrate that they have read the project requirements.

The completed theme must become the property of the buyer. All source code, design files, graphics created specifically for this project, and any custom functionality must be transferred upon final payment. The freelancer may not reuse or resell any custom design created specifically for us.

To confirm that you have read the entire project description, please start your proposal with the word "dog". This helps me identify freelancers who have taken the time to understand the project. Proposals that do not include this will unfortunately not be considered.

The project will be fully funded, but the funds will remain in escrow and will only be released after all agreed deliverables have been completed and approved. Partial work, unfinished themes or design mockups alone will not be considered project completion.
