Nutrition Label Creator Web App
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 CAD
Looking to have an internal web app created that will be used by our team to quickly generate nutrition label.
Workflow:
Select Label Style - we will provide a template of the 2 label styles we will start with, each will require the same input data but are styled differently for different packaging (one is 4x2 inches and the other is 2x4 inches)
Enter Household measure - enter a number and select from dropdown pre defined measurement types (will need to be able to add additional measurement types as well as their translations over time)
Enter Label Data - Values for things such as Calories, Fat, Sugar, Iron, etc. (total of 13 values) and calculations will be made for daily value percentages (we will provide the equations for each nutrient)
Enter Ingredients - Ingredients will be entered from a built in database (that we can update over time) and populated below the nutrition facts table. As english ingredients are added to the label we would like the translated ingredient to be populated as well, we will add the translation to the database along side the english name when created the database of ingredients.
Allergen List - able to toggle on and off a "Contains" and/or "May Contain" allergen list, same functionality as the ingredient input.
While the label is being created we would want a live updating preview on right side of the page
Once the label is created we would like to be able to save it and assign a product name, manufacturer and upc code to it so it will be searchable and editable in the future. We will also need a button to be able to download the label in PDF form.
I have attached a few screenshots of a similar UI we are looking for but our app would have much more basic/different functionality.
There will be a lot more functionality we would want to add over time as we transition our workflow to this tool as well as more label styles/sizes so this part would need to be built with that in mind.
