We are seeking a skilled Laravel programmer to convert our existing English-language PNG image upload website into a multilingual platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Laravel framework and a proven track record of developing multilingual websites. This project involves not only translating static content but also implementing a dynamic solution for user-generated content in multiple languages.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the current website architecture and plan the multilingual implementation.
- Implement language files and manage translations for static content within the Laravel framework.
- Develop a dynamic translation management system for user-generated content.
- Create a language switcher and ensure seamless language switching functionality across the website.
- Integrate middleware for automatic language selection based on user preferences or browser settings.
- Ensure database schema supports multilingual content, applying best practices for scalability and performance.
- Ensure UI/UX compatibility with multiple languages.
- Implement SEO best practices for multilingual websites, including hreflang tags.
- Conduct thorough testing for each language version to ensure quality and consistency.
- Provide documentation and support for maintaining and updating the multilingual system.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in Laravel and PHP, with at least 3 years of experience in Laravel development.
- Experience with implementing multilingual websites, including handling static and dynamic content translation.
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and responsive design principles.
- Knowledge of database design and management, particularly with MySQL. Experience with JSON columns or translation tables is a plus.
