Project Description:
We are seeking an experienced Moodle developer to set up and configure a self-hosted Moodle platform for our Robotics Academy. The platform will serve as an LMS for managing courses and delivering interactive content, quizzes, and step-by-step robot assembly guides. The focus of this project is on establishing the environment and enabling us to populate the content ourselves.
Scope of Work:
Moodle Installation:
Install and configure Moodle on our hosting server (we will provide hosting and domain details).
Ensure the installation is optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
Theme Customization:
Install and configure a professional Moodle theme (suggest options or customize a theme like Edumy, Lambda, or Moove).
Customize basic branding elements such as logos, colors, and headers.
Course Structure Setup:
Create placeholders for courses (one for each level, e.g., Discovery, Explorer, Creator).
Configure course categories and sections to allow easy content entry by us.
Plugin Installation and Configuration:
Install and configure essential plugins for interactivity and user engagement, including:
H5P for creating interactive content (e.g., drag-and-drop, branching scenarios).
BigBlueButton or similar for live sessions (optional).
Gamification tools (e.g., Level Up! or Quizventure) for student motivation.
Ensure the plugins are tested and ready for use.
User Roles and Permissions:
Set up admin, teacher, and student roles with appropriate permissions.
Configure a user-friendly dashboard for teachers and admins.
Step-by-Step Robot Assembly Setup:
Establish a framework to allow embedding of step-by-step instructions (e.g., H5P modules, Sketchfab 3D models).
Provide a sample activity or guide to demonstrate functionality.
Documentation and Training:
Provide a 1-hour training session .
Deliverables:
Fully operational Moodle platform hosted on our server.
Configured theme with placeholders for our courses.
Pre-installed and configured plugins for interactive content and quizzes.
