Moodle Dev. Language Learning platform

Project Overview
We’re building a digital language lab to support students learning French and other languages. The platform will host interactive courses, AI video tutors, H5P activities, and listening/speaking practice tools—all built on Moodle.
We’re looking for a freelance Moodle developer to customize and enhance our Moodle environment to meet the specific needs of language learners.
Key Responsibilities
Customize Moodle to create a visually appealing, learner-friendly platform
Integrate H5P, SCORM packages, Wordwall, and other interactive tools
Optimize performance for both desktop and mobile users
Develop and/or adapt plugins for audio/video recording, quizzes, and vocabulary practice
Configure user roles, course formats, and access permissions
Ensure platform security and regular backups
Collaborate with our content team (designers and language teachers)
Ideal Candidate Should Have
Strong experience with Moodle development (custom themes, plugins, and integrations)
Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Familiarity with e-learning tools like H5P, BigBlueButton, or Zoom integration
Experience with SCORM/xAPI content in Moodle
Previous work on language learning platforms is a big plus
Ability to communicate clearly and deliver on deadlines
Project Duration
Initial contract: [4–8 weeks], with potential for ongoing work (maintenance, feature upgrades, new modules)
