Migrate / Sync Magneto 2 MySQL Fields / db's to Wordpress / WooCommerce MySQL Fields / db's
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
The project is as follows: Migrate a Magneto 2 site to a Wordpress/WooCommerce website. The new site is already built and ready for data migration.
We are looking for an API/plugin connector where data can be mapped with any non-standard fields from a Magneto DB to the WooCommerce db via the REST API and/or another verified controlled method. Thus: refrain from using the standard import/export process as data is changing to frequently. All standard and/or custom fields must be mapped.
A sync data process needs to be created from the Magneto data as this frequently changes. Thus: some form of a visual record display will show new records in an organized table before confirming to syncing process.
The following DBs are primary concern.
Orders-which needs mapped and any Signyfd data history or other order data, including same order numbers, shipping data, notes, etc to new fields/tables to ensure all order history has been maintained for correct full data auditing.
Taxes-we use AvaTax on both platforms, we want to make sure this data is imported and preserved.
Shipping & Tracking Information- data will need imported so the customer can also see their account history.
Products-we need a way to handle duplicate data as some products have been cloned in multiple categories. In the case of duplicate products, we just need to connect the duplicate product to the correct categories as the same from the Magneto 2 site thus eliminating duplicate product SKU’s and/or any unneeded data.
All optional data-Product Attributes and/or Attribute Sets and/or any Product Types will be migrated, the same product store will be setup on the new platform. This ensures the filtering options remain the same on the WooCommerce site.
We need to make sure the data is migrated for a custom hide price field already setup on the both platforms.
Manufacturers-data will need imported.
Categories-we need to match the same hierarchy organization, data fields and when the categories are migrated over, so the url permalink linking functions remain the same and no data loss present.
Customers-we need to match the same data, retain current passwords and use and/or update the following baseline snippet to handle the Magneto 2 passwords on the WooCommerce site without the need for the customer to change passwords. Here you can find a reference to this process without the need for a complex plugin.

If a better way is proven successful, we are open to it. Refraining from using a plugin, a customer still needs the ability to change passwords. Thus not breaking the frameworks native user password controls. We can however omit migrating any TaxJar data found in the tables as this is not used on the new framework being replaced by AvaTax and thus no longer used.
Reviews-data will need imported.
Pages-set by a filtered keyword to migrate only pages needed, some pages are needless on the new site.
Forms-we need to match the same data and just map the data used on the Magneto 2 site into the form entries used on the WooCommerce site.
In all, we are looking for data migration mainly and need to make sure that all critical data is migrated over from the Magneto 2 store to ensure that the new store built on WooCommerce has no downtime/data loss.
Once the data is over, will need to test all URL’s are a one to one match with differences only being any new framework URL’s that are not part of Magneto 2 site. As we will be using a permalink manager to control all URL’s on the WooCommerce site, thus no redirections are needed.
There may be some unknowns that will need handled and we will know more once the primary data is migrated over for testing. We have made our best efforts to cover all the known data above.
Please reach out if you have any additional questions about this data migration.
