Metabase development

We have a large MIS system that runs on a MySql database. We are looking to build a insights layer that would work on this database and provide deep analytical reports. Looking to use a open source visualization tool like metabase. Scope would be to design the reports with us, establish db connectivity, create the scripts to pull in the relevant data and present them in a visually appealing manner. The system is hosted on AWS, so the visualization tool will need to be installed on AWS as well.
