Role Description: We are seeking an experienced SMTP and WP Mail SMTP specialist for a short-term, remote contract to diagnose and fix an issue with our WPForms system.
Form submissions are successfully saved in the WPForms backend, but users are not receiving the submission successful notification. As a key contributor, you will configure WP Mail SMTP, troubleshoot email delivery, and ensure reliable notifications, maintaining a seamless user experience for our dental practice clients. Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose the WPForms notification issue, focusing on WP Mail SMTP configuration and SMTP server settings.
• Configure and test WP Mail SMTP with email services (e.g., Postmark, SendGrid, AWS SES) to ensure reliable delivery of submission notifications.
• Debug email delivery failures, checking logs, DNS settings (e.g., SPF, DKIM),
and server configurations.
• Verify that form submissions trigger notifications correctly while maintaining backend data integrity.
• Document the solution and provide recommendations for preventing future issues.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to test and deploy the fix within 1–2
weeks.
