MODIFY CURRENTLY WORKING BLOG WEBSITE TO UPLOAD NEW POSTS TO SECOND URL - ADD FOLLOW AND SHARE BUTTONS
I have a website where I post short reviews of medical studies. This is done from our own private code.
You can see this at the website - https://cartox.net - I routinely add new posts by going to a separate Admin page URL. This page uses forms where I add the title - summary - and full content giving each post the same layout.. We use phpMyAdmin. When I complete the fields on the form I press SUBMIT and the content then appears on the main page.
My goal now is to have you do the following 3 tasks.
PART 1: HAVE POST CONTENT UPLOADED TO A SECOND URL
Currently, when I make a post, the content is immediately added to a table on the main page. I would now like to have the same post uploaded to a separate URL (so it's now at two locations). It will then appear on the main page which is currently working fine, but have you develop new code so the post is also uploaded to a separate URL that holds only that post. This way, people can view the post separately without being distracted by the other content. The URL for these new posts might end in ..../001 - 002 - etc or even use the post title separated by dashes (like we often see with current web pages, blogs, etc).
PART 2: ADD ABILITY TO SHARE A SINGLE POST
Once you complete PART 1 and we see the post on a new second URL, I then want to add a SHARE button that appears at the bottom of our original post that links to the new separate post we did in PART 1. The SHARE button will allow people to click a button to share the new post by email - to someone's X account - or Facebook account.
PART 3: ADD FOLLOW BUTTON
When I add a new post I would like to notify people by email who have SUBSCRIBED that a new post has been added. Telling them the name of the post and including a link to view the new post on its separate page as we set up in PART 1.
In summary, our current website and ability to add and view content is working perfectly. I now just want to have any new post I make also appear at a second UR, somewhere under the main directory - then add a SHARE button so viewers can share the post with others via email - X or Facebook, and lastly, add the ability for people to FOLLOW the website and be contacted by email when a new post is added.
