Looking for experienced developer to assist with a few projects and ongoing maintenance

Job description:
Researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs
Testing and evaluating new programs
Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications
Writing and implementing efficient code
Determining operational practicality
Developing quality assurance procedures
Deploying software tools, processes, and metrics
Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts
Perform and assist with periodic code reviews and unit tests
Qualifications:
Experience working for a SaaS company
Experience working with startup and small teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Linux shell scripting experience to include bash, perl, or python
Working knowledge of database programming principles for MariaDB or Postgres
In-depth knowledge of (PHP / JS) whatever we’re hiring for
In-depth knowledge of Apache or nginx
Experience with REST API. { interacting with or development of }
Experience with web mobile optimization strategies
Knowledge of or experience with with scripting languages such as python
Experience working fully remote with a distributed team
Experience working off of Figma or related software designs
Tools and Processes: GIT, Docker, JIRA, GSuite
Experience or appreciation for Agile mindset and methodology
Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies
The ability to learn new technologies quickly
The ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues
Commercial and business awareness
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data

Working hours
For salaried employees, communication hours are between 8 - 5 CST. We recognize and encourage our development team to work on their projects in their own time frames but please note you will be expected to be available by phone / slack 8 – 5 CST.
For contract employees, any question should be answered within 5 hours.
Please note our clients’ working hours are generally 8 - 5 CST so we would prefer to discuss any issues within those hours.
Communication requirements
Our team primarily communicates using Slack. Gmail is also utilized for communication along with other G Suite apps. Team members are required to attend meetings and reply to communication from project management.
Tempo
Time will be charged down to 30-minute intervals using the Tempo time tracker within Jira. All employees (contract and full-time) are expected to log their time and turn it in weekly.
Jira / Bitbucket
Our team works using the Agile SCRUM methodology within Atlassian – Jira. We also work within Bitbucket to ensure code deployments are done efficiently and quickly. All employees are required to update their Jira tickets and perform work in a timely manner.
