Laravel Website Status Management Feature

I need a new feature added to my existing Laravel website where Head of Department (HOD) can approve or reject a specific user's request. When the HOD clicks on the approve or reject button, the status should be updated and shown on the screen.

Need this done urgently now.

i have a laravel website where 2 buttons Approve and Reject has to be added for a user role called hod so that those buttons show up only for hod role users, once hod users click on the buttons the status show up on the screen. a table on database has been created which will store the data and also show the data on the status window.
same feature exist for user role hr but for hod has to be made.
