Laravel Upgrade from 6 to 8

I'm looking for an experienced Laravel developer to upgrade my project from version 6 to 8. The project has a few custom features, primarily an authentication system, but it's mostly standard.
Key Requirements:
- Upgrade Laravel framework from version 6 to 8.
- Ensure all existing functionality works post-upgrade.
- Make minor adjustments to custom features as necessary.
- Collaborate with me to understand the project and its components.
Please note:
- There are no existing automated tests for the project. Therefore, it will be important to manually verify the integrity of the upgrade and the functionality of the project post-upgrade.
- Good communication skills are essential for this role as you'll be collaborating closely with me.
