Laravel Developer for enhancing an existing page with filters / table view

For an existing PHP Laravel project using blade templates, javascript and mysql database, I need an experience developper who can improve an existing page that shows a table layout with currently 8 columns and at the left hand side several filter options (form with submit button and dropdownlists and typeahead datalists). The goal is to significantly improve usability by having the filter options at the head of the columns and alllow the user to select/input data in the filters and have the software automatically filter the data (using javascript and fetch, but other suggestions are welcome). Some of the logic behind the filtering also needs to be changed, for example users can filter on one lastname using a typeahead freelist/datalist, but this filter should be modified to return all records found having this lastname (or having a lastname starting with the letters that were input in the filter field). Also one or two extra columns need to be added. Also the user should be able to filter some columns alphabetically easily, for example by clicking a sorting icon at the column heads. Note that the current version of the page also has a column with a checkbox, that triggers a fetch call and removes the corresponding row from the view and also changes some column values in the database, this functionality should not be changed and must keep working when making other changes.
There are other pages in the project which have the functionality described (automatic filtering using fetch, sorting etc.) which could be used as a reference.
