Job Posting Alert Script Creation

I'm in need of a script that is capable of performing two functions:
1. Monitoring the careers page of a specific company
2. Alerting me whenever a new job posting is added.
The script is intended to run on an hourly basis, with alerts emailed directly to me each time a new listing is identified.
To ensure the script is functioning as expected, it must be able to identify new postings, however the criteria for recognizing 'new' postings has not been defined yet and may be discussed upon hiring.
