Implement open badge and micro-credential framework in Moodle

Job ID: 33266476

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

The following should be able to be implemented on moodle platform and a small report on how it was done:-
• A course has learning outcomes and competencies list. Learning outcomes are mapped to the Units and also to the competencies.
• A course can be part of different programmes (a set of modules/courses)
• 1 micro credit = 5 hours of learning = 1 LCCS credit. A full course is normally 6 LCCS or 12 LCCS.
• When a leaner validates a specific competence (by an assessment or a confirmation from a tutor or manual confirmation by an admin) - he can get a badge - the badge naming and earning criteria has to be defined when course is created.
• Badges will be for acquisition of competencies, while microcredit earned shall be after completion of learning units and/or learning outcomes.
• Micro-credits obtained have to be well documented within the system, transferable and be secured and shareable and easily verifiable. The system may also have built in logic to be able to show the possible learning paths of a learner as and one he acquires micro credits. Example a person whether he can earn a certificate in accounting or business etc, depending on the choices he makes or the routes he chooses - like in an adventure game.
The above ideas shall be implemented in the moodle platform
You can develop your plugins or use multiple existing plugins (e.g. for open badge we have openbadgefactory with 2 months trial & Openbadge passport gives us learning pathways)
