IDLE PhP fpm process not closing - SERVER ISSUE?
Budget: $30 – $250 SGD
Suddenly we had an issue of a IDLE php-fpm process not closing.
This means that after a while the processes pile up to overwhelm the server.
IMPORTANT:
1- The issue doesn't come from php-fpm configuration (it is the same as before and it was working perfectly)-- no fine-tuning of that configuration required
2- The problem doesn't come from slow queries
3- file php.ini already modified
4- The server has plenty of resources (so not an issue at all)
5- The website is malware free (already scanned and tested)
So the issue is a specific process php-fpm not closing.
The objective of the task is to
1- identify the process (we know it's PHP fpm, but which one?) and
2- make it close so as not to overwhelm the server (so we should not
