How to avoid cache for “add to Home Screen “ function?

My users always use “add to Home Screen “ function to add my website to their mobile Home Screen for creating “short cut” icon. But, there is a problem of cache or showing old image to the users whenever they click on the “shortcut icon”, the icon will just show old image rather than fetching the lastest data from my server. Please help me so that my users can see the latest correct information whenever they click on the short cut icon created long time ago. Thank
