Here is the original description of the website we need:
PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING. This website is for SERVICES. Not Products. Thank you.
We need to create a website, like ebay, except the auction price will go down instead of up. People need to be able to create their own listings like Ebay. The only difference is that the bidding price will go down instead of up.
It will be free to sign up and bid. People should be able to both bid on listings and create listings. They will pay fees when they choose a winning bid on their own listings.
The listings will be for SERVICES and not products. So basically, someone will create a listing of what SERVICE they need done, and people will be able to bid to be able to do that service. Kind of like freelancer, but for real-life, local services. It can cover everything from Contractor Work to Shipping to even Mowing a Lawn or Walking a Dog. Attorneys, Recording Studios, charter flights, and more will all be able to use this service.
When a deal is made, we, the owners, should be able to collect fees from both users that make the deal. The fees will be 20% of the amount of the winning bids, paid in two parts, 10% by the user who created the listing, and 10% by the winning bidder. (amount may change) We will collect fees upfront, before the job is started.
Once the job is awarded to the winning bidder, then the money for the service will be put in an escrow. A timeline will be set up, which will be agreed to by both parties, for the service to be completed, and payment to be distributed. Insurance/bonds/rentals/equipment can all be ordered through this website, which will generate another 10% fee for us. This should give them a chance to search the web for these things and display results from all websites.
The name will be "ServiceBidMe"
We already have the design for the home page done, complete with a PSD file, which we will give to the person who wins this project. We ONLY Need the coding done for that page. However, other sites will need to be designed and coded as well. Attached, see a basic design that shows the basic layout of the home page. Again, you will receive a PSD file with slightly updated design.
If we are pleased with your work, THERE WILL BE A MINIMUM $150 BONUS.
