We are looking for senior software developer to join our team based in Germany on maintaining and extending existing code that’s on the market from 2013.
For the start most work will be done with PHP, JavaScript and MySQL. To confirm you read job description, please start message with word I put below between chars ^^
In your application please answer to following questions:
1. From 1 to 10, how much you would score your understanding of OOP?
2. What programming language you use the most (name only one)?
3. What IDE/Editor you use with your favorite language? Please don’t hesitate to be more specific with this answer if you use custom configuration for every project.
4. What VCS you daily use?
5. Is there some design patter(s) you like the most to use in your code? (^^DRY^^)
6. Are you willing to learn new OOP language(s) if needed?
7. Do you have any experience with coding extensions for Joomla? If yes, can you please write more about it.
About hiring process:
1. Each candidate need to take test, for this job you would need to use PHP as programming language.
2. You have 5 hours to complete test. You will need to choose between two time slots for taking test: 8AM - 1PM UTC or 3PM - 8PM UTC, any day in week.
3. You need to send us your email address so we can add you to our Gitlab repository, you'll need to push your code written for test to our Gitlab repository.
4. After you pass test, you'll need to have short video call over Signal with our manager, just basic talk to meet each other. This is very important step, if you can't setup Signal, or there is something wrong with your camera or microphone, please do not apply till you fix it. We do not use Google, Microsoft, Facebook or other video chat apps that tend to violate user's privacy, please do not ask if can use any of those.
5. After we hire you, you will need to setup your development environment, you'll get help from our devs in this process. You will also have a help from senior developer until you get familiar with project.
This is long term job offer.
