Gallery Plugin to Static HTML 2

I’m moving an existing WordPress site away from the CMS and need the gallery-display plugin recreated in plain HTML and CSS. The goal is to replicate the current look and behaviour of the gallery while giving me clean, lightweight code I can drop into a static site.

Key points
• Source: a single WordPress gallery plugin currently live on the site
• Target: responsive HTML + CSS (vanilla JS only if strictly required)
• Freedom for improvement: I’m happy to see thoughtful layout changes as long as the gallery still feels familiar to visitors.
• No e-commerce elements are involved; this task is purely for the gallery component.

Deliverables
1. Fully functional gallery markup (HTML)
2. Associated stylesheets (CSS) and any minimal JS, all well-commented
3. A brief read-me explaining file structure and how to embed the gallery in other pages
