Forex Paper Trading Android App
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I need an Android application that lets users practise forex trading with zero financial risk. The core of the build is a clean, simple-to-navigate interface that streams real-time FX prices and allows users to open, modify and close simulated positions as if they were trading live. A straightforward email-and-password sign-up flow is all that’s required for authentication; no social or biometric options for now.
Market prices must update quickly enough to feel live (whatever low-latency feed or API you usually rely on is fine, as long as it covers the major currency pairs). Position P/L should calculate instantly and update as the quote moves. Although I have not asked for long-term performance charts yet, please structure the data layer so that adding historical analytics later won’t be painful.
UI expectations
• One-touch buy/sell, lot size selector, and a concise ticket summary.
• An uncluttered dashboard that shows open trades, free margin and balance at a glance.
• Material-design guidelines are preferred so the look stays native to Android.
Accepted tech stack
Kotlin or Java in Android Studio with an MVVM pattern is ideal. Feel free to suggest a different but equally maintainable architecture if it speeds development.
Deliverables
• Full Android Studio project with well-commented source code
• Working APK for testing on Android 10+ devices
• Brief README explaining API keys, build steps and how to switch environments (live feed vs. mock)
The project is ready to start as soon as we confirm the data provider you’ll tap into and the milestone schedule. Looking forward to your proposed approach and timeline.
