Fix my search error, also add items from category to drop down menu

I have an urgent issue with the search function on my PHP website. Here's a quick rundown of what I'm facing and what I require:
- Recent Changes: I recently attempted to modify the search code myself.
- Problem Encountered: Despite entering keywords, when I hit enter or click submit, I'm greeted with a pop-up error "no keywords entered."
- Current Impact: This bug is rendering the search functionality useless.
- Required Outcome: The search function should detect the keywords entered and return relevant results.
I'm looking for someone with:
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, and possibly AJAX, if my search function uses it.

Then 2nd task is adding item titles to a drop down menu on my navigation bar. These items are in a category on my web site. I want those titles of videos to populate into my drop down menu on site.
