Fix php script to update price and stock for magento1

We have a php script (attached) that fetches products from an xml file and update price, stock qty and stock status for products every night with a cron script. There are 2 errors here: Not every products are updated and second the stock attribute in stock or out of stock is not updated (just price and stock qty works). attached the script.
