Fix bug allowing multiple equal selections in wordpress plugin

I need to fix a tiny and annoying bug, when clicking the button I select a value, if I double click it removes the value, however sometimes I happen to double click already with the selected value and then select it twice value, I would like to not allow two equal values to be selected, the bug happens when I switch from one button to another.
