Fix Check-Out Day Availability Issue

I'm using the Traveler theme for a rental booking site, and I need help with an availability issue.
The problem is that when a guest checks out (e.g., on May 24), the entire day is blocked. I want the property to be available again later that same day (e.g., after 2 PM).
I've tried various plugins, filters, and deleting availability entries without success. It seems the theme blocks the check-out day by default, and I likely need to adjust something in the core availability logic.
I have full access to edit theme files and I'm comfortable with editing PHP or theme code.
