Find and fix bugs in rota timetable on PHP / Python scripts
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
Hi I have a web and booking platform for a barber hair shop which is written in PHP, with supporting Python scripts, Using a Code Igniter framework and Wix for frontend. It will need some time upfront to understand the system as documentation is light.
There are a number of issues with the booking system / rota which I would like to fix. Issues 1-2 are a priority for us. The workflow is attached in a diagram. It would be great to work with someone who can explore the code and proactively find and raise any issues within the time period.
1) A new barber was recently added to the system, it's currently not possible to set his availability (i.e. working 10-5pm Tues, unavailable on Weds) and have this update reflected in both the front and backend. This had initially been working.
1.1) This new barber also can't take bookings i.e. always shown as unavailable. I would like this in sync with the rota changes.
2) There are instances where a timeslot is unavailable / incorrect for booking, but instead of receiving an error mesage, the user gets booking confirmation. The system is not updated.
3) A solution to increase the smartness of the booking system, i.e. reduce number of 10/15min gaps would be requested. This well help us maximise barber's cutting time. Screenshot attached of a typical scenario on a busy day
4) Copy updated scripts to 2nd backend and database. Should be as straightforward as it sounds. We have an identical system for another store which we'd also like these updates added to. With tests to ensure it's working.
