External Authentification for a phpBB forum -- 2

I would like the users of my phpBB 3.3.10 forum to be authentificated with the users of the Rainlab Users plugin for OctoberCMS. OctoberCMS provides a cms like backend for Laravel, the Rainlab Users component is the official frontend user plugin.

phpBB provides an possibility to use an external authentification service which should be used for this:

The goal is that phpBB use OctoberCMS / Rainlab Users as source of truth for the user management. The login / logout / registration / password change should be synchronised.
