Experienced POS Developer Needed for Browser-Based Solution Adapted to Norwegian Market
Budget: €5,000 – €10,000 EUR
We are looking for a skilled developer with proven experience in POS (Point of Sale) solutions to build a straightforward, user-friendly, and modern POS system. This solution will be browser-based, optimized for PC, tablet, and mobile use. The system must comply with Norwegian fiscal laws, and it is essential that we retain full ownership of the software and all rights upon project completion, as we plan to sell this solution to end customers and continue developing it over several phases.
Project Overview:
1. Platform & Requirements: The POS solution will be browser-based and compatible with PC, tablet, and mobile, with a clean, modern interface inspired by popular solutions like Lightspeed, Square POS, Zettle, and Shopbox.
2. Primary Focus: The initial version will be a “light” version, tailored to events, festivals, small food service businesses, and fast-food outlets. This version should perform basic payment functions, generate reports, and support Android hardware integration with payment terminals.
3. Hardware & Payment Integrations: Testing will include integrations with systems such as Softpay (turning devices into payment terminals), Vipps (Norwegian payment solution), bank terminals, receipt printers, and cash drawers.
4. Market Specificity: The solution must adhere to Norwegian legal requirements for POS systems (we will provide the compliance requirements). Familiarity with Nordic or European payment solutions is a major advantage.
5. Project Scope: This project entails building a minimalistic POS solution focused on essential functions for fast transactions and affordable entry-level pricing. For larger clients, we envision an “all-in-one” model that allows seamless payments and receipt printing on a single device.
6. There is also the need for a separate "super admin" portal so that we can activate and deactivate POS licenses (for invoicing the end customer)
Qualifications & Expectations:
• Demonstrated experience in developing POS systems, especially those targeting the Nordic or European market.
• Familiarity with payment integrations and hardware setups in these regions is a strong plus.
• Ability to deliver a visually appealing, modern interface.
• Ownership and rights to the final code and project assets will be transferred to us upon completion.
We will provide a complete list of functions and initial UI/UX suggestions in collaboration with the selected candidate. Candidates will be invited for further discussions, and compensation will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.
