Experienced Developer Required for Laravel 5.4 MicroWeber CMS 404 Issue

I have a website build on a Laravel 5.4 based MicroWeber CMS.The problem seems to be that some URLs are generating 200 response instead of the expected 404 error.
Working 404 URL params

-> https://www.interiordesignwala.com/sdesdcvsdv
Not working 404 URL params, it should throw 404 but instead it's loading content and giving 200 response

You can download the CMS at https://microweber.org/download, however the version which we are using is an old version, however I feel it's a default issue with the CMS itself, as I checked random URLs on blog demo and the same still exists on their demo http://demo.microweber.com/ example https://demo.microweber.org/v2/blog/asdasd
Key requirements:
- Diagnose and pinpoint the root cause of the 404 issue on my Laravel 5.4 based MicroWeber CMS
- Fix the issue and ensure that the correct 404 error is displayed for the corresponding URLs
- Provide a brief summary of what may have caused the issue and steps taken to resolve it
- Mention seven in number in your bid so that I know that you have gone through the requirements clearly so that you will be given a preference during review and selection
