Enhancing a Dating Platform with Q&A-Based Matching
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We’re currently managing a dating website that focuses on bringing together individuals with shared interests, primarily targeting users aged 25–40 in urban settings. We’re seeking a skilled developer to help elevate the platform by refining user profiles (including photos, bios, and preferences), introducing smarter match recommendations based on interests and location, and implementing a new compatibility system driven by a question-and-answer format. Additionally, we aim to integrate real-time chat functionality.
The matching feature will revolve around a thoughtfully designed set of 50–200 questions covering lifestyle, values, and personality traits. Users will be able to select their responses, specify their ideal match’s answer, and assign importance levels to each question. This data will power a compatibility scoring system that prioritizes matches based on answer alignment, importance weighting, and mutual preferences—creating deeper and more personalized connections.
Our existing stack includes PHP for the backend and MySQL for the database, with a frontend built on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. However, we’re open to evolving the tech stack to support future scalability. We're looking for developers experienced in building dating or social networking platforms, particularly those with a strong grasp of dynamic matchmaking algorithms and intuitive questionnaire experiences.
