Database Developer - SQL / PHP. Needs Troubleshooting.

The database is written, I believe, using SQL and PHP. It is stock management system that tracks sales. Data is imported from an API with Freewebstore (two websites). This data affects stock levels
Data is also imported weekly via the Freewebstore data export function. This data is used to track sales and from this a couple of reports show us sales levels and profit.
Data is also input manually for some orders.
Data is referenced using the SKU field.
The main problem now is that I want to start selling items using variations (see https://www.ukhipflasks.co.uk/product/wholesale-thermal-flask-500mlv1)
This listing does not link with EDS. According to the original programmer this is because ‘In EDS the products are listed individually but in freewebstore they are variants under one individual product.
In order to fix this we will have to do a bit of re-engineering of the product module and also update the API integration to account for variations, etc’.
Please bear in mind that it’s not only the API / EDS link that needs altering (this affects the live stock levels) but the import functionality for weekly sales reports. EDS reads the Freewebstore Sales Export file and uses the data to create profit / sales report. There are various formulas / rules in place turning the Freewebstore data into usable reports.

I appreciate this is rather vague and you will need to delve into the details more before quoting. If you are interested please let me know and I can give you further details if your proposal looks suitable.
