Freelancer Job Proposal: Implement User Engagement Limitation on CustomGPT Chatbot
We are seeking a skilled freelancer to develop a User Engagement Limitation feature for our CustomGPT.ai chatbot. This project aims to regulate user interactions per session to optimize resource allocation and prevent excessive token consumption.
Project Scope: User Engagement Limitation
Objective:
To implement a feature that limits each user to a defined number of chatbot interactions per session (5-10 questions). Once the limit is reached, the system will notify the user and restrict further queries until the next session.
Key Requirements:
• User Interaction Tracking: Implement a mechanism to count the number of questions asked per user within a session.
• Session Restriction: Once the limit is reached, prevent additional queries from being processed.
• User Notification: Display a clear message (popup or on-screen banner) informing users that their daily quota has been reached and inviting them to return the next day.
• Daily Reset: Ensure that limitations reset every 24 hours, allowing users to resume interactions the following day.
• Scalability: Develop a solution that is replicable and can be applied to multiple chatbots under our CustomGPT.ai account.
Technical Considerations:
• The previous implementation relied on accessing the Session ID, which was disabled due to changes in the CustomGPT embed code.
• The new solution must work independently of CustomGPT’s embed code changes, ensuring long-term reliability.
• The system should detect and prevent potential workarounds, such as refreshing the page or using incognito mode.
Requirements for the Freelancer:
• Must register on CustomGPT.ai to explore the platform’s API capabilities and understand its implementation process.
• Strong experience in JavaScript, API integration, and web development.
• Familiarity with CustomGPT.ai or chatbot integration is a plus.
• Ability to implement session-based limitations without relying on deprecated features.
Job Completion and Replication:
Once the solution is successfully developed and tested on our chatbot, it must be designed for easy replication across other CustomGPT.ai chatbots under our account.
