Custom WordPress Plugin for SureCart Integration
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
The objective is to develop and integrate a transaction fee calculation feature within an existing custom WordPress plugin that interacts with SureCart. The feature will dynamically calculate and display payment gateway transaction fees (percentage-based + fixed) at checkout, ensuring transparency for customers before they complete their purchase.

TASKS and REQUIREMENTS
**1. Configuration & Settings Integration**
a. Ensure the plugin retrieves transaction fee values + labels from the custom plugin settings.
b. Use these settings:
- Fixed fee (e.g., $0.30)
- Percentage-based fee (e.g., 2.9%)
- Customizable fee labels from settings
- Enable / disable checkboxes for each fee type
**2. Dynamic Fee Calculation**
- Compute transaction fees after discounts and tax on the final payable amount.
- Fees should adjust dynamically based on the cart total.
- If both fees are disabled, neither should be applied or displayed.
- If only one is enabled, only that fee should be applied and displayed.
- If both are enabled, both should be applied and displayed.
**3. Checkout & Order Summary Integration**
a. Display the transaction fees, when applicable according to the above logic, as separate line items, e.g.:
- Transaction Fee (2.9%) – Displays calculated percentage-based fee using label from settings.
- Transaction Fee ($0.30) – Displays fixed transaction fee using label from settings.
b. Ensure the fees are reflected on:
- Checkout page
- Order summary after checkout
- Customer’s invoice / receipts / confirmation emails
- Admin order details
**4. Compatibility & Maintainability**
a. Compatibility will be ensured with SureCart’s core functionalities, including those listed below:
- Discounts
- Coupons
- Tax calculations
b. Updates will be made to the custom plugin as per the best practices of SureCart and WordPress and without modifying SureCart or core Wordpress files (i.e. the solution should continue to function when Wordpress and SureCart are upgraded).
