Custom Revision Software
Budget: $25 – $50 AUD
To whom it may concern,
I am a medical student and I would like a revision software that is suited to my needs. I have the following requirements:
- Able to be accessed on phone, iPad and Windows laptop
- Able to have updates to the revision content synced when edited on either device
- Each topic for revision will be given its own 'page' >> e.g. a page for Covid-19
- On each page there are different field names and field entries
>> e.g.
Name = Covid-19
Category = Disease/ Condition
Type = Respiratory
Image = <image>
Causative Agent = SARS-CoV-2
etc.
- The main forms of field entries will be text (with dot points and indentation options), image, table, gif or link (e.g. to a video, website, etc.), as well as an option to create an image by drawing on a blank canvas (e.g. with a stylus)
- New pages should be created by clicking a 'create new page' button (or equivalent), where empty fields are then populated with the relevant revision material (not all fields are mandatory)
- Existing pages should be able to be edited by clicking an 'edit page' button (or equivalent), where entries to fields can be edited directly (retyped, images reuploaded/ redrawn, etc.)
- Pages can be permanently deleted after clicking on two 'confirm' pop-up prompts
- Pages are organised visually in a collapsible menu, placed on the side in a hierarchy similar to OneNote
- Page locations can be easily changed, and changed en masse if needed (multiple selection and moving)
- There should be a 'Revision mode', where pages for revision can be chosen and all the populated field entries are omitted. A text box appears next to the field name where an answer can be typed. A button next to the text box called 'show entry' then reveals what was originally entered into that field
- (Possible, but not necessary function - adding a feedback function where a feedback box can be checked
>> e.g. correct, partially correct, incorrect
and then submitted to a revision sub-page for record)
- Anyone with the website link can view the contents and use revision mode
- Only with a valid login can a user create, edit and delete pages and content

Scope/ Deadline
- Main workload will be developing and testing the software
- Would like the project to be completed mid-January 2023
- Ongoing revisions and improvements will occur less frequently after the project is complete
(e.g. bug fixes, interface improvement, adding in smaller functions)

- For personal learning and interest, I would like the coder to be able to explain in layman's terms the steps taken to build the software, and answer simple questions about the different moving parts of the project. In this way, I will also know which revision functions are possible and at what cost.
