Custom Payment Gateway Integration

I am a coach with Learndash as my learning platform. Nothing implemented yet till I make sure payments work.
I want to use Woofunnels as my marketing and sales platform. I need Woofunnels one click upsells functionality as a key marketing and sales feature.
I am based in South Africa and have limited payment gateway choices. many of the well known global gateways are not available to me. I want to use a local gateway, Payfast.
Payfast does not have ad hoc tokenisation implemented on Woofunels. I will need this for upsells on Woofunnels.
Ad hoc tokenisation of cards is a function that is available in payfast, but their API needs a custom integration and testing on Woofunnels platform.
