Custom Family Management Tool Based on Paperless-NGX (German SaaS Platform, Fixed Price €800)
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
We are seeking an experienced full-stack developer with proven expertise in Paperless-NGX to create a custom, German-language, multi-family document and management system (MVP) within 10 calendar days. The system must be SaaS-ready and designed for commercial use.
Base Setup
Paperless-NGX is already installed on a Hetzner Ubuntu server and fully operational.
The developer will receive access credentials and build the custom solution on top of this setup.
The end product must be clean, scalable, and ready for commercial SaaS deployment.
Project Goal
We aim to create a multi-tenant web-based platform, where each family is treated as a tenant. Each family can have multiple members with various roles such as:
Parents (Full Access)
Parents (Read-only)
Children (Upload-only)
The platform should allow:
Upload and archival of incoming physical mail as scanned documents
OCR-based document recognition and classification
Task/ToDo management (e.g. pending invoices)
Contract management with deadlines and reminders
Monthly income/expense overviews
Asset tracking with development charts
A customizable dashboard for each user
Must-Have Features (Deliverable Within 10 Days)
1. Family and User Management
Admins can create and manage "families" (tenants)
Assign roles within each family:
Parent (admin)
Parent (read-only)
Child (upload-only)
Each user can only view their own family data
2. Document Upload & Management
Users can upload scanned documents
OCR + metadata extraction
Categorization by type (invoice, contract, etc.)
Documents can be linked to ToDos
3. ToDo System
Each document can be linked to a task
Task statuses: open / in progress / completed
Assign tasks to family members
4. Contract Management
Create contracts with:
Provider, start date, duration, termination period
Deadline tracking with reminder flags on dashboard
5. Income/Expense Overview
Track income and spending per month
Categorize entries
Show visual history and trends (bar/line charts)
6. Dashboard
Must include:
Latest uploads
Open tasks
Financial overview
Expiring contracts
Each user should be able to customize their dashboard view (optional but preferred)
7. Custom UI Design
Clean, western-standard layout
Fully responsive
Company name and logo in frontend
Interface only in German
AI translation may be used during development
Final proofreading and correctness is the developer's responsibility
Technical Info
Backend: Python / Django (based on Paperless)
Frontend: Vue.js or TailwindCSS recommended
Must be 100% in German language
OpenAI API is available for future integration (not part of MVP)
Communication Requirements
Daily progress update required (via chat or short summary)
Developer must respond to any questions within 24 hours
Payment Terms
Fixed price: €800 total (no hourly billing)
No milestone is considered complete unless the corresponding functionality works properly as described
No prepayments, no partial payments for unfinished work
Delivery only accepted when:
All mandatory features are delivered and tested
Interface is fully in German
Code is well-structured and shared via GitHub or ZIP
In case of dispute, this description will serve as the binding agreement
