Custom Discount Coupon System Integration
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I'm looking to integrate a discount coupon system into my ecommerce platform, which is built using PHP and Laravel. I haven't decided if I want a pre-built solution or a custom one yet. The system should support the following types of discounts: percentage off, fixed amount off, and buy one get one free.
Description of the Discount Coupon System
Objective:
Add a discount coupon system to our e-commerce to allow customers to receive discounts when purchasing digital products.
Main features:
- Offers a percentage discount on the total order
- Offer a fixed value discount on the order total
- Allow discounts only on specific products
In e-commerce, payment gateways have already been implemented and the system must support Stripe, Paypal and PIX.
Coupon creation:
Administration Interface: Administrative panel area where the administrator can create, edit and delete discount coupons.
Mandatory fields:
Coupon Code: A unique code that the customer must enter to receive the discount.
Description: A brief description of the coupon for administrative purposes.
Discount type:
Percentage (e.g. 10% discount)
Fixed Value (e.g. discount of R$ 20.00)
Discount Amount: The amount or percentage of the discount.
Start date and expiration date: Period during which the coupon is valid.
Usage limitation: Maximum number of times the coupon can be used in total and/or per customer.
Application by Product: Specify whether the discount is applicable to all products or only specific products.
Minimum Requirements: Minimum purchase value for the discount to be applied.
Application of the Coupon in the Shopping Cart:
Field to Insert Coupon: Field in the shopping cart where the customer can enter the coupon code.
Coupon Validation:
Check that the code is valid and within its expiration date.
Apply protection discount based on coupon type and value.
Show error messages if the coupon is not valid (e.g. "Invalid code" or "Expired coupon").
Coupon Management:
Reports and Analysis: Tools to visualize coupon performance, such as number of uses and total discounts.
Usage history: Record of when and by whom the coupons were used.
Notifications and confirmations:
Customer feedback: Notify the customer of success or failure when applying a coupon.
Application Confirmation: Displays a message confirming the value of the discount applied and the adjusted total of the purchase.
Integration with the Payment System:
Update purchase total: Make sure the discount amount is reflected in the purchase total before the customer completes payment.
Technical Requirements:
Compatibility: The coupon system must be compatible with the current e-commerce platform and payment methods.
