Accommodation Booking Engine – Development Proposal (No Website)
Project Summary:
We are looking to develop a custom accommodation booking engine to integrate with our existing Faliraki Travel website. This system will allow users to browse and book hotels, apartments, villas, and other accommodations in Faliraki, Rhodes.
The system should also support a multi-vendor setup, enabling local property owners and hoteliers to register and manage their own listings, pricing, and availability through a vendor dashboard. We do not require a new website – this is purely a booking engine that must be embeddable or connectable to our existing WordPress site.
Core Requirements
1. Booking Engine Functionality
Frontend search & booking interface for accommodation only
Filters: dates, guest count, accommodation type, facilities (e.g. pool, sea view)
Live availability calendars
Dynamic pricing (seasonal rates, weekend rates, min-night stays, etc.)
Optional extras: breakfast, late check-out, etc.
Real-time online booking with instant confirmation
Booking confirmation emails to both guest and property owner
Customer portal to view/cancel bookings
Stripe/PayPal payment gateway integration
2. Vendor Dashboard (Multi-Property Support)
Vendors (e.g. hotel owners) must be able to:
Create and manage their listings
Upload property images, descriptions, amenities
Set availability and pricing per room or unit
View bookings and reservation details
Receive automatic email notifications for new bookings
Optional: Connect their Stripe account for direct payouts
3. Admin Dashboard (For Faliraki Travel)
Admin users (us) must be able to:
Approve vendor registrations and property listings
Edit or override listings if needed
Set and manage commission per vendor or per booking
Access full booking records and filterable reports
Feature or highlight select properties
Manage cancellation policies
Integration Requirements
Must not replace or duplicate our website
Booking engine must be:
Embeddable (e.g. via iFrame or shortcode) or
Accessible via subdomain (e.g. book.falirakitravel.com) with seamless design alignment
Fully responsive/mobile-optimised
Multi-language capability (English & Greek at minimum)
GDPR-compliant (cookies, data, privacy handling)
Technical Preferences (Open to Recommendations)
Open to using Laravel, custom PHP, or a standalone SaaS-style platform
Must be secure, stable, and scalable
Clean, user-friendly UI/UX
Lightweight and fast-loading – especially on mobile
Option to expand functionality later (e.g. car hire or excursions)
