Cross-Platform POS System Development
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Project Overview: We are looking to develop a cross-platform Point of Sale (POS) system that works on both desktop and mobile platforms. The system should efficiently manage customers, suppliers, orders, sales, and purchases, with robust access controls between admin and seller accounts. This app will integrate with thermal printers for order printing and support payment tracking with partial deposits.
Key Features:
1. User Roles:
Admin Account:
Full access to manage customers, suppliers, products, sales, and purchases.
Manage and create seller accounts.
View all orders (by all sellers) and their statuses.
Generate and analyze reports (sales, purchases, etc.).
Seller Account:
Limited access to specific features (product list, sales, customers).
Can only view and manage the orders they have created.
Ability to create, update, and manage orders and sales.
Track payments and deposits on their own orders.
2. Customer & Supplier Management:
Create, edit, and delete customer and supplier profiles.
Store contact details, order history, and outstanding balances.
Assign specific orders to customers or suppliers.
Search and filter customers and suppliers for easy access.
3. Orders & Payment Tracking:
Orders:
Orders can be categorized as paid, unpaid, or partially paid.
For unpaid orders, add deposits with specific dates and track payment deadlines.
Order details include customer/supplier names, seller name, product list, and prices.
Payments:
Ability to accept full or partial payments for orders.
Track payment history and due dates for outstanding balances.
Order Printing:
Orders can be printed to thermal printers (receipt format) for quick in-store processing.
4. Inventory & Product Management:
Manage a list of products including product details (name, description, pricing, stock level).
Inventory tracking with low-stock alerts.
Product categorization for easy browsing.
5. Sales & Purchase Management:
Track all sales and purchases with detailed order breakdowns.
Generate sales and purchase reports by date, seller, or customer/supplier.
Ability to search/filter sales/purchases by date range, seller, or payment status.
6. Reports & Analytics:
Generate custom reports for sales, purchases, customer history, and outstanding balances.
Reports can be filtered by time periods, sellers, or order status.
7. Security & Access Control:
Role-based access control where only admins can manage user permissions and have full visibility over all data.
Sellers are restricted to their own data (orders, customers, and sales).
Secure login system with password protection for both admin and sellers.
8. Cross-Platform Compatibility:
The system should be developed to run on both desktop and mobile platforms.
