We have to Develop a mobile app cross platform
A mobile app that allows users to scan grocery product labels or barcodes, compare prices across
supermarkets and view calories and nutritional information. It also scrapes weekly store flyers to keep product cost data up to date.
Core features.
1. Label Scanning via Camera
• Use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to Identify the product name, brand, weight, and ingredients.
2. Price Comparison
• Connect to online catalogs weekly
And Compare prices for the same or similar products. Also Show “cheapest option” nearby (based on store location). HTML based flyer scraping for price comparison.
3. Nutritional Information
• Parse or lookup calorie data using:
Using Open Food Facts api. Show calories per 100g/ml and full package, plus traffic-light nutrition info (like Nutri-Score).
4. Add to Shopping List or Meal Plan
5. Set dietary filters (e.g., vegan, low-carb)
6. Allergen alerts (e.g., gluten, nuts)
7. Speech or Chat-based assistant for quick Q&A
