AI Conversation Engineer – SMS Logic + Industry Flows (No Voice Work)
DESCRIPTION:
We’re building an AI-powered texting system for businesses.
We already have a separate engineer handling all voice and phone call AI —
your ONLY job is to build the texting brain.
If you haven’t built AI texting/chat logic before, don’t apply.
You will build AI that:
• Responds to customer text messages
• Handles conversations
• Uses scripts for different industries (restaurants, salons, hotels, etc.)
• Books appointments
• Helps take orders
• Sends menus, payment links, and follow-ups
• Follows rules and business logic we provide
This is SMS + logic + prompts —
NO audio work, NO Twilio Voice, NO real-time pipelines.
Required Skills:
• Strong prompt engineering
• Building conversation flows
• Using LLM APIs (GPT-4o, GPT-o1, etc.)
• AI logic / intent handling
• Industry-specific scripting (we provide the scripts)
• JSON, webhooks, or API experience
Bonus (not required):

• Bubble or backend integration
