Contractor Management platform
Budget: $25 – $50 AUD
I am toying with the possibility of creating a new platform from scratch. Starting with something basic, and expanding on it over time.
I am looking at a basic CRM as a platform. Can be from scratch, or one of the Opensource solutions out there, such as SuiteCRM. Then adding dedicated contractor management.
- Communication logging and tracking (Standard CRM stuff) attached to contractor and client (Client and contractor belong to same table)
- Contractor qualifier
○ Licences
○ Product certifications
○ Checklist of qualifiers (Cabling specialist, product specialist, etc.)
- Document expiry tracking
○ Expiry contractor auto-notifications and upload forms (30 days notice and expired)

○ Insurances
- Tender generation and sending filtered by qualifiers and document expiry
- Work order generation upon accepting tender, preferably automated by tender agreement received.
- Contractor grading
○ Bare minimum, just a notes section per account to enter notes on performance, and maybe a dropdown rating 1-5 that can be used as a filter when tendering (Preferably star rating which I believe is now possible).
○ If at all possible, the ability to automate sending clients a review form when job/project is closed so they can review.
- Assign notes/reviews linked to contractor and other accounts. This allows us to see under an account who we used in the past and how they performed.
Tender generation doesn’t have to be too advanced. All I really need is to send a job scope, deadline, priority, and estimated cost. Perfection would be a link in the email to express interest in the job.
