Biggleswade United FC – Confluence Portal Development Support

I am looking for an experienced Confluence developer/consultant to help transform an existing Confluence portal for Biggleswade United FC.

The majority of the content and structure already exists. I have built the portal myself using a combination of AI tools and self-learning, despite having very limited prior experience with Confluence.

What I need now is someone who can take what has been built and elevate it to a professional standard.

What I am looking for

Rather than simply building pages to a specification, I am looking for someone who can bring ideas, experience and creativity to the project.

At the moment, the portal functions as a repository of information, but it lacks the visual appeal, navigation and user experience that would encourage people to actively use it.

I would like the portal to:

Feel more like a professional website than a collection of documents.
Have a clean, modern and engaging appearance.
Be intuitive and easy for volunteers, committee members and club officials to navigate.
Use imagery, branding, layouts and design elements where appropriate.
Have a consistent look and feel across all spaces and pages.
Include sensible navigation and landing pages.
Be easy for non-technical users to update and maintain.
Have a clear permissions and access structure for different types of users.
Make better use of Confluence functionality, apps and best practices.
What I need from you

I am not necessarily looking for someone who asks me exactly what every page should look like.

Part of the value I am seeking is your expertise and imagination.

I would like someone who can review the existing portal and say:

"This could be organised better."
"We could improve navigation like this."
"We could make this look more engaging."
"I've done something similar before and here's an example."
"Here's how I'd approach permissions and user groups."

In short, I am looking for someone who can help shape the final product, not simply implement instructions.

Current Status

The hard work of gathering information and creating content has largely been completed.

This project is now less about creating content and more about:

Professional presentation.
User experience.
Navigation.
Design.
Governance and permissions.
Long-term maintainability.

If you have examples of previous Confluence portals, knowledge bases, intranets or similar projects, I would be particularly interested in seeing them. The site is in cloud
I have reposted this as i don't think the first post was clear
